Shootify Combines Real Product Photography With AI for Faster Campaign Creation

There is still a real product on the table, still real light falling across its surface. That has not changed. What has changed is what happens after the shutter clicks.

This week, Shootify announced a new commercial workflow that starts with traditional product photography and extends those images using artificial intelligence. Products are photographed physically in studio conditions first. Those images then become the base for AI generated variations such as different environments, backgrounds, and campaign looks.

The key difference from typical AI imagery is that nothing begins as a prompt. The product exists, the shadows are real, and the proportions are accurate. AI is used to build around the photograph rather than invent it from scratch.

For ecommerce brands, this approach reduces the need for repeated shoots while allowing faster creation of marketing visuals across platforms. For photographers, it reinforces the value of clean lighting, correct colour, and precise capture. The stronger the original image, the more effective every AI extension becomes.

This hybrid model reflects a growing shift in commercial photography where efficiency matters, but credibility still depends on reality. The camera remains central. AI simply expands how far a single photograph can travel.
