I started my photography journey with a Sony A7riii. I later bought a Lumix G9ii for the lens system being so much more compact and convenient for street photography. I was shocked that MFT G9ii was taking better photos than my much more expensive A7riii that had 17 more Megapixels in it's sensor. The G9ii was doing that with a run of the mill 50mm 1.7 that cost a fraction of the lens I had on the Sony. On paper the A7riii is supposed to be a better stills camera than the G9ii.
as a thirteen year old beginner photographer, i use my dads equipment, and i use the nikon d90
I want a camera thats good for both video and photos. If my budget is 1500. Is the Canon 5D Mark IV good?

this is me right now. but I decided to risk and buy used camera even tho I got money for good new option. I already have enough expensive toys, I need to control myself

For me the best camera is compact and affordable, bc I would never carry a 6k dollar camera daily and I don't want to carry something bulky and heavy. Is it 'the best performance in every way possible?' no, but honestly who needs noise-free results at ISO 25600? I'm just walking around town making shots of architecture xD just get a nice balance of features and price, most likely even a 100 dollar dslr from 10 years ago is good enough for 9 out of 10 circumstances for most people. Unless you like to make pics of distant birds after dark, then open your wallet lol.
I mean the price is a part of the product, if you don’t optimize for it to some extent, is it really the best?
